Can I show notifications of updates on a user's screen?

Can I capture a status update or a group page and Instead of sending an e-mail notification, display an alert on the user's own screen, like facebook notifications?

Hey Robinson, currently all notifications in ThoughtFarmer are email notifications. Status updates will not create an email notification (although they will show up in the user's Recent Activity feed on the homepage).

To learn more about ThoughtFarmer email notifications: http://www.thoughtfarmer.com/documentation/8639/overview-of-email-notifications/

We are planning to review the notifications in ThoughtFarmer for one of our upcoming releases. Feel free to add your suggestions to our Feature Request forum

Carolien, thanks for your reply.
Anyway, suppose i want to build an app that can capture and display these status on the screen, today it's possible?

Robinson,

Unfortunately, this information is not directly accessible through the ThoughtFarmer integration kit (TIK) API. So this would not be something that you would be able to add easily through a custom application.

You will have more customization options when you are running ThoughtFarmer on your own server rather than from the cloud. When that migration occurs feel free to submit a request and we can go over those details then.
